20 Jun Steven Byrd Selected as Employee of the Month for April

We are proud to announce Steven Byrd, Client Business Analyst, as Fleet Response’s Employee of the Month for April. This is not Steven’s first time receiving this recognition and it is easy to understand why. His steady commitment, depth of knowledge, and willingness to support his colleagues continue to make a meaningful impact across the organization.

Dedication That Makes a Difference

Steven has been with Fleet Response for five years. While his role has remained consistent, the influence he has had continues to grow. He recalls a defining moment early in his career here that confirmed he had made the right decision.

“During my first year here when my dad’s health declined, my manager was very understanding that he needed more direct care from me, which affected my workday,” Steven shared. That level of compassion and support left a lasting impression and showed him the value of Fleet Response’s culture.

A Go-To Resource

Recently, Steven has been instrumental in supporting the rollout of a new internal procedure. His colleagues describe him as a go-to-resource who trains team members, troubleshoots issues, and is always available to step in when needed.

One coworker shared, “Steven has made himself available to work with any team member who encounters a new issue and walks them through cancellations and corrections. He is quick to answer questions, joins calls with customers, and works closely to troubleshoot problems. We cannot thank him enough.”

Growth Through Connection

While Steven describes himself as someone who naturally focuses on tasks, he is most proud of the relationships he has developed during his time at Fleet Response.

“The connections I’ve built with the people I work with, both inside and outside the company, are what I’m most proud of. I’m better with things than people, so it’s an expansion of my skills and comfort zone,” he shared.

Passion for Learning and the Outdoors

Outside of work, Steven finds joy in simple routines that keep him grounded. “Yard work with a constant stream of audiobooks. A lawn can’t be too healthy, and a feller can’t learn too much about world history,” he says with a smile. And while most people would not guess it, Steven admits, “I love a good romance movie way, way more than anyone in my demographic is supposed to.”
