Meet the Fleet Response Summer Intern Class of 2025

We’re thrilled to welcome the bright and ambitious Intern Class of 2025 to Fleet Response! Eleven talented students from universities across the country joined us this week to kick off a summer filled with hands-on experience, professional development, and meaningful contributions to the Fleet Response team.

Their first day on May 20th at our Hudson, Ohio headquarters was a full one, from HR onboarding and IT setup to department tours and a welcome lunch with the executive team. The day wrapped up with department introductions and a group Q&A that gave everyone a strong start and a clear picture of what’s ahead.

This year’s interns bring a diverse set of interests, experiences, and educational backgrounds. Tucker Rusk, a student at the University of Cincinnati, and Sarah Potts from Ohio State University have joined our Third Party department. Dash Lanzilotta from Grove City College and Skylar Leichliter of the University of Kentucky are part of our Subrogation team. Carter Block and Lucy Canterbury, both from Ohio State, are contributing to the Accounting and Vendor teams, respectively, while Rocco Reese from Miami University is also joining the Accounting department. Reagan Miele from the University of Kentucky will be supporting both the Safety and Client Engagement departments. Ryan Evans of Ohio State is working in Maintenance, while Claire Russell, also from Miami University, is part of our First Party Claims team. Lastly, Zachary Bitterman, an Ohio State student, is bringing his skills to our IT department.

Throughout the 10-week program, interns will explore various aspects of the business. Weekly presentations and learning sessions will cover essential topics such as Claims Management, Client Responsiveness, Customer Service, Project Management, IT Security, Accounting, and more. These sessions are led by experienced professionals and are designed to give interns a well-rounded understanding of Fleet Response’s mission and operations.

Jeff Fender, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, shared his thoughts on the program: “The internship program is more than just a learning opportunity for the students, it’s a way for Fleet Response to invest in the future. We value fresh ideas, new energy, and the curiosity these students bring. They remind us to stay open-minded and innovative, and we’re proud to help shape their early career paths.”

What makes our internship experience unique is the personal connection. From one-on-one mentoring to networking lunches and group projects, interns are encouraged to engage, ask questions, and collaborate. A standout moment on day one was lunch with our executive team, where interns heard directly from leaders about Fleet Response’s growth, values, and vision.

The program continues to build on the success of previous years, as highlighted in last summer’s intern spotlight. Just like those before them, the Class of 2025 is already showing tremendous promise.

We’re excited to follow their journeys over the coming weeks and can’t wait to share their stories, projects, and reflections. Be sure to stay connected with us through our website and social media as we showcase the amazing contributions of these future leaders.

To the Intern Class of 2025, welcome to Fleet Response. We’re so glad you’re here.
