08 Jul River Payne Selected as Employee of the Month for May

We are excited to announce River Payne, Subrogation Representative, as Fleet Response’s Employee of the Month for May. This marks River’s first time receiving this recognition, and it reflects the positive energy, dedication, and work ethic he brings to the team each day. 

A Strong Start and a Supportive Culture 

River joined Fleet Response in January 2025, starting in the Call Center before transitioning to the Subrogation Department. Although he is relatively new to the company, River quickly found reassurance that he had made the right choice. 

“Honestly, it was when I started interacting with my coworkers and supervisors. The way I was treated and the friendliness really showed me a good work culture here,” River shared. That welcoming environment made a lasting impression and set the tone for his experience. 

Pride in Everyday Work 

When asked about his best day at work, River laughed and said, “Every day!” But he followed with a thoughtful note: “Honestly, any day I can go home thinking, ‘Yeah, I did a good job today,’ and feel proud of it. That’s a good day for me.” 

That meaningful mindset is part of what makes River such a valuable team member. He starts each day by setting up his workspace and jumping into the printing queue, laying the groundwork for an efficient and productive day ahead. 

Finding Joy in the Little Things 

River also appreciates the small, culture-building moments that make Fleet Response unique. “Celebrating the little holidays, like doughnut day or veggie day is something that only happens here”. These small gestures help foster the sense of community that drew him to the company in the first place. 

Work Hard, Play Hard 

When reflecting on what he’s most proud of, River points to the culture of effort and enthusiasm that defines Fleet Response: “Being with a company that works hard and plays hard.” That balance between professionalism and fun is something he values deeply. 

A Love for the Outdoors and a Few Surprises 

Outside of work, River enjoys staying active and connected with nature. “I love being outside hiking,” he said. He’s also an avid reader, proudly calling himself a bit of a bookworm. One fun fact that might surprise his coworkers is that River is a vegetarian.
